Adjuvant effects of nanomaterials

Staff: Vicki Stone, Morag Prach*, Lorna Proudfoot*

*Edinburgh Napier University

Funding: The Daphne Jackson Trust

Project Aims

To assess the potential for manufactured nanomaterials to interact with the immune system, generating an exaggerated response.  This information will help to understand the role of nanomaterials in the development of allergies, but also the potential for nanomaterial exploitation as vaccine additives (adjuvants).
