Risk and occupational exposure assessment

The Nano-Safety Research Group works in collaboration with the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), to assess risks in the workplace posed by nanomaterials, monitor levels of nanomaterials in the air and in employees’ systems and is also able to test the materials in the laboratory for any potential detrimental effects on humans.

Results of this work enables industry partners to ensure the safe manufacture, handling and use of their nanomaterials in order to improve the design of nanomaterials and ultimately to allow products to reach their full potential by minimising risks.
