The research that we conduct to investigate the impact of nanomaterial exposure on human health and the environment has been funded by UK research councils, the European commission, charities, industry and UK Government.  Information on ongoing and recently completed projects can be found by clicking on the project links on this page. The information obtained from our research projects can be used by diverse stakeholders, including:

  • Industry: to enable the design of safer products, and means of protecting their workers;
  • Regulators and policy makers: to enable the generation or amendment of legislation and evidence based policies to protect humans and the environment from any risks posed by nanomaterials;
  • Consumers: to make informed decisions about the products they buy;
  • The scientific community: the novel, and high quality research that is conducts us means that we are leaders in our field

The Nano-Safety Research Group also offers a range of research and testing services to a number of commercial partners.
